Ascribe.io and the Enhanced Provenance of Digital Ownership

I have to admit, I am a big fan of Ascribe.io. Authenticating and tracking copyright ownership to digital art has been an problem. Now there is a solution.

I have used Ascribe.io to register my own digital artwork and it is a simple process.

You can't fight the physics of bits, but if your work is copied, you now have the ability to document the provencance and prove ownership of the work in order to negotiate compensation, or defend your claim in court.

Ascribe uses blockchain technology to register a unique ownership "key" for each work. The artist can also register each piece in a limited edition with a key unique to that piece. You don't have to understand blockchain or bitcoin to use this service.
